11/02/17: TCSS Sees Rise in Climate Score Ratings

Moving the needle on student achievement may seem like an easy feat, but if you ask Debra Brock, Principal of Whitesville Road Elementary, she can tell you that it takes an entire community for a school to show gains.

Just two years ago, the school received a score of 55.8 out of 100 on the College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI). This score placed them on a Georgia Department of Education (GaDOE) watch list. Today, after the GaDOE released the 2017 CCRPI scores and climate star ratings, the students and staff of WRES can celebrate because they are now the second highest scoring school within Troup County School System (TCSS) with a total of 80 out of 100 points.
