Third Grade Makes Pollution Catchers

Pollution Catchers

Third graders at West Point Elementary School have been busy! Recently they have been studying conservation and different types of pollution. To increase their understanding of pollutants, they created "pollution catchers" out of paper plates and petroleum jelly. They used the petroleum jelly because it is sticky and clear. They placed their catchers in various spots throughout the school, including the gym, media center and cafeteria, so they can compare and contrast the different things they catch.
