About Us

The HOPE Academy is the Troup County School System secondary alternative educational program and is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools as a special purpose school.  The school serves sixth through twelfth graders, with a maximum capacity of 90 students at any given time.  Students expelled from their home schools as a result of a discplinary tribunal or student disciplinary conference may have the opportunity to attend The HOPE Academy.  Decisions regarding those students returning from incarceration at a youth detention facility or other restrictive placements are determined on a case-by-case basis.
