Recently, Troup Count School System students participated in the "A World in Motion" challenge hosted by KIA Motors Manufacturing. Ms. Courtney Agurs and Ms. Jacqueline McGraw's 7th grade science class from Callaway Middle School participated. Starting in the first semester science class, the students explored the ins and outs of developing motorized cars in order to compete in the Motorized Toy Car Challenge.
Students started the design process by setting group building goals, developing prototypes for distance and climb, and testing those prototypes for speed. The ultimate goals were for students to learn how to work together in groups and produce the fastest motorized car. Those students did just that, and were able to walk away with first and third place medals in two categories!
