MechatronicsTHINC COLLEGE & CAREER ACADEMY

In August 2015, THINC College & Career Academy opened its doors for Troup County high school students in grades 10-12. As a program of TCSS, THINC is located on the campus of West Georgia Technical College. It provides an innovative and hands-on learning environment focused on local business needs to help propel students into a ready-to-work environment.

What makes THINC stand out is the focus of soft skills that make students more employable. Skills such as attendance, teamwork, communication, and adaptability are 30 percent of a students grade. In addition, students at THINC choose a career pathway that will move them closer to graduation. Some of those pathways are:

  • Health Science
  • Mechatronics / Manufacturing
  • Energy Systems
  • Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics (STEM)
  • Marketing & Communications
