02/22/2017: LaGrange High Future Farmers of America Make and Give Blankets to Needy

LHS FFA
In honor of National Future Farmers of America (FFA) Week, the LaGrange High FFA Chapter collected pieces of fleece to make no-sew blankets to donate to the Troup County Sheriff's department. Overall the 127-member chapter collected enough fleece to make 38 blankets.

The purpose in making the blankets is to place a blanket in each patrol car for children the officers may come in contact with that have no heat in their homes or need to be comforted. FFA is a youth organization within agriculture education that prepares students for premier leadership, personal growth and career success.
