02/24/2017: Long Cane Middle School Celebrates Black History Month

Long Cane Middle's Black History Program

Recently, the Long Cane Middle School student body, teachers, administrators and community members filled the gymnasium for a student-led celebration of Black History Month. Upon entering the school, guests were met by student greeters in black slacks and white button-down shirts who escorted them to front row seats.

Principal Chip Giles and Assistant Principal Joe Floyd, II could be seen directing participants to their seats and ensuring guest speakers were comfortable and had everything they needed before addressing over 1,000 students and guests.
