A group of eight young women showed just how dope they were in Troup High School’s media center last week as they announced their acceptance to various colleges across the U.S. All young ladies are seniors at Troup High School and are the first graduating class of the nonprofit organization, She’s D.O.P.E. (Determined Overachiever Public servant who Empowers women).
The seniors honored on this day, dubbed ‘The Elite 8’, were front and center as they shared their selected colleges with family and friends. Combined, these eight seniors have an average 3.8 GPA, over 1000 hours of community service, were accepted to 70 colleges, and were offered over $2.8M in institutional scholarships.
