When Troup County School System (TCSS) students returned to school after fall break, their cafeteria experience was a little different. Decorations of measuring cups, crepe paper, and decorated pineapples, pumpkins, and skeletons greeted them as they walked through the food service line. This week, October 9-13, highlights National School Lunch Week with a theme of ‘Recipes for Success’.
While this week will emphasize the healthy foods that are offered daily within TCSS, the nutrition staff has taken an opportunity to highlight other qualities that make for student success. At Franklin Forest Elementary a chalkboard sits on a skeleton chef’s lap and reads:
