It was great Red Ribbon Week at Berta Weathersbee. Community guest speakers encouraged the 3rd-5th grade students. Troup County natives David Kelton and Dr. Ralston Major, M.D. also entertained the students with stories.
Kelton, who played major league baseball, spoke to the students about the importance of hard work and a good attitude and Major, a surgeon at Clark-Holder Clinic, spoke to them about studying hard and pursuing their dreams. Red Ribbon Week is a drug prevention program held annually at the school.
