When Ken White, Social Studies instructor at THINC College and Career Academy (THINC), decided to make a move from corporate training and running his own business into educating high school students, he said he really did not think the difference would be too great. So at the age of 52, he made the big transition, and after two years at THINC, he has found educating teenage students and helping them find their own way makes all the difference.
“Well, I know soft skills and I know history. Coming from the business industry, I understand the type of workplace skills the students need to succeed. I am also a history buff. Those two things made me feel like this was the right thing to do…even when everyone said I was crazy,” White laughed.
