Earlier this month, Governor Nathan Deal announced 39 awardees for the Innovation Fund Tiny Grant program. Troup County School System’s (TCSS) Jungle Bus, headed by the Parent Engagement department, along with Long Cane Middle School have received three of those grants amounting close to $30,000.
“As we move further into rigor and relevant learning this school year, these funding opportunities will help us provide a greater school choice experience for middle school students and it will impact a community of future students through literacy,” said Dr. Cole Pugh, TCSS Superintendent.
The Innovation Fund Tiny Grant program is a competitive grant opportunity that provides funding to traditional public schools, charter schools and school districts to help implement small-scale programs that directly engage student.
