12/05/19: Former TCSS Grad Nominated for a Grammy jontavious

Congrats to Callaway High School alum Jontavious Willis. He graduated in 2014 and has gone on to earn a Grammy nomination for his album Spectacular Class in the Best Traditional Blues Album category. Way to go Jontavious! See Jontavious on Georgia Public Broadcasting.

12/01/19: National Parental Involvement Day Parent Leaders

Troup County School System honored several parent leaders on National Parental Involvement Day in November in honor of Family Engagement Month in Georgia. 

TCSS appreciates the powerful contributions parents and other family members provide at school and home to support our students’ success.

 
12/02/19: TCSS Hosts Town Hall Meeting Flyer

Troup County School System will be hosting a town hall meeting to present detailed information regarding funding, expenditures, and budgetary considerations of the school system. This will also be an opportunity for the community to ask questions or make statements regarding interests of the public. The meeting will be broadcast over Facebook Live. During the 75-minute session, Board members and key staff members will be on-hand to respond to questions.

Community members wishing to speak must:

  • Complete a registration card upon entering building.
  • Registration cards will be randomly drawn.
  • After card is drawn, the person will have two minutes to speak.
  • Board member or staff member will respond if appropriate.
CCRPI Score for LCE

The 2019 College and Career Ready Performance Index (CCRPI) were announced.  We are proud to announce that LCE had the highest CCRPI score for the elementary schools in Troup County.  

 

 

 

Pop Tabs for the Ronald McDonald House

LCE is collecting Pop tabs to help the Ronald McDonald House of West Georgia charity.  This program provides a home away from home for families with sick or injured children who are being treated at area hospitals.  The Pop tabs collected will be recycled, and the money earned will be sent to the Ronald McDonald House.  Please see the attached flyer for more information!
