Welcome to my page! My name is Marcus Blandingburg- let me tell you a little about myself. I am a native of both LaGrange and Augusta, Georgia. I graduated from LaGrange High School in 1997 and played football for Steve Pardue which during that tenure my team boasted a 11-1 record while winning the 1996 region championship. From there, I attended Jacksonville State University where I received a full football scholarship. I graduated from JSU with a degree in Recreational Leadership with a minor in Physical Education. My coaching history includes a long tenure where I was the Assistant Head Coach of the inaugural Panther football team from 2006 to 2012. During this time, we won the first ever SILAC Conference Championship for LC in 2008. From 2012 to the present, I have held several football coaching positions including Head Football and Baseball Coach at Oakhaven HS in Memphis, TN as well as Defensive Backs Coach at LaGrange High School while serving as Physical Education teacher at Berta Weathersbee Elementary School. I have been with the Mustang Nation as Assistant Head Football Coach since 2018 and was promoted to Head Coach for the 2019 season. I also currently serve as Physical Education and Weight Training teacher at GNMS.

I am active in my community where I volunteer as Commissioner of the LaGrange Chargers Travel Football Club. Also, volunteer as a baseball coach with the Troup County Parks and Recreation.

I am married to Mia Allen Blandingburg and we have 3 children- Myles and Mason Blandingburg, who are 6th graders at GNMS and Meadow Blandingburg, who is currently a 2nd grader at CES. My family is avid sports watchers and participants. In my free time, I enjoy vacationing at the beach and watching live sports games.
