Callaway Elementary Mission and Beliefs


At Callaway Elementary School our mission is to educate the mind, to guide the development of gifts and talents, and to foster a love for self, community, and our world through interactive learning experiences.


At Callaway Elementary School, our belief is that all children are valued individuals with unique physical, social, emotional, cultural, and intellectual needs.  We believe in:


Commitment to our students, our staff, our community, and to the pursuit of excellence in education for all students;

  • Instructional practices should incorporate learning activities that take into account differences in learning styles.

  • Developmentally appropriate learning activities that are based on a comprehensive curriculum enhance learning at all levels.

  • Faculty and staff must establish high expectations for all children.

Empowering everyone to achieve high levels of success academically, physically, socially, and emotionally;

  • Children learn at different rates and through different learning styles.

  • Children learn best when they are actively engaged in the learning process.
