Troup High Environmental Science Class

Troup High's AP Environmental Science class recently smeared petroleum jelly on petri dishes and placed them in various locations around campus, including the IPF, softball field, nature trail, Mr. Gidden’s desk, the boy’s locker room, and others. The Petri dishes were set out for 4 days and then analyzed under a microscope and a magnifying glass to see the difference in air particulate matter collected from the various locations and to compare the difference between indoor and outdoor levels of air pollution. Pictured with the microscope are Daniel Oropeza, Hamilton Bedigfield and Thomas Fuller.
